Now love yourself and enjoy this one ...

Sloppy Joes with Big Mac: these Sloppy Joes are made from seasoned beef and special sauce. They also include lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions. All the goodness of a Big Mac in an easy, quick weeknight meal!

They are delicious, but they have more to offer than just that. These sloppy joes are also ridiculously simple to make.

The filling can also be prepared up to two days in advance and then reheated when you are ready to eat. What a great idea for busy weeknights!

This recipe for Big Mac Sloppy Joes has a creamy, McD's Big Mac-like sauce! This delicious one-pan meal is a twist on classic sloppy Joes that the whole family will enjoy.

Big Mac Sloppy Joes Recipe

When I say that these are simple to make, I really mean it. We'll go over the ingredients so you can be sure to have them on hand.

Ingredients

  1. Burger Buns
  2. Lean Ground Beef
  3. Pickle Juice
  4. Cornstarch
  5. Ketchup
  6. Garlic powder or granules
  7. Onion Powder or Granulated Onion
  8. American Cheese
  9. Iceberg Lettuce Shredded
  10. Dill Pickles
  11. Chopped Onions
  12. Thousand Island dressing or Burger Sauce.

You'll need to buy soft, squishy, white sesame-topped hamburger buns at the supermarket for the best big mac experience. Although a sesame-seed bun is not part of the Big Mac, I find it delicious.

As a result, I also love using pretzel rolls for these Big Mac Sloppy Joes. You can choose these homemade hamburger buns if you want to split the difference between a squish bun and a pretzel roll. These buns are a bit more sturdy than squish-buns, but not as chewy as pretzels.

If you'd like to make this low-carb, you can use lettuce leaves instead of buns. It will be messy, but delicious.

Let's get cheesey! It's the authentic way to make a Big Mac burger, so I chose slices of American cheese. You can also use shredded pepper jack or cheddar cheese if you want to change it up.

If you prefer, you can cut your pickles into smaller pieces to make it easier to get just a tiny bit in each bite.

For the "special sauce", I use either homemade Big Mac Sauce (Burger Sauce) or Thousand Island Dressing. This is a Big Mac-style sauce. Chick Fil A Sauce will give you a similar taste and look.

  2. Ground Beef Chopper or Sturdy Spoon
  3. Measure Spoons
  4. Measuring cups
  5. Small Whisk or Fork

Easy recipes to use up ground beef include: Gluten-free Meatballs, 15 Minute Korean Style Beef (with Cheater Sesame Beef), Ground Beef Fried Rice with Homemade Gyro Meat and Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta.

If you want a cocktail that's fast and easy to make, then try the Hard Cider Sangria or Mixed Berry Kombucha Margaritas.

You can also keep the theme of quick and easy going with French Yogurt Cakes, Snickerdoodle Mug Cakes for One, Cinnamon Toast Cakes, No Bake Peanut butter Mini Cheesecakes or Churros Waffles.

Big Mac Sloppy Joes

Over medium heat, crumble the ground beef in a medium-sized skillet. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top and crumble it as it browns.

Pour it all off if there is an excessive amount of grease. Pour it off in small amounts.

You can leave a small amount of fat (about 2 tablespoons) in the pan for added flavour. Stir in ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Add granulated onions, garlic, and garlic granules.

Stir or whisk the cornstarch and pickle juice together in a small bowl to form a slurry. Pour the pickle juice and cornstarch into a small bowl or jar and whisk together to make a slurry.

This can be served immediately, as shown below. Or you can scoop the meat mixture in an airtight container to keep it refrigerated for up 3 days.

On the bottom bun, scoop a generous amount on top of the hot Big Mac Sloppy Joe mixture. Add one slice of American Cheese and garnish with lettuce, sweet or yellow onions, and diced Pickles.

Top with the upper half of the burger bun and serve with french fries or crispy tots. Serve with crispy tots or french fries and top with the upper-half of the burger.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the side effects of basil?

Basil is an herb that originated in tropical regions of India, Africa, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile.

The plant is easy to grow in most climates and requires little maintenance. Basil also thrives in poor soil conditions and is very drought tolerant.

As for the health benefits, more than 200 known compounds are found in basil, including flavonoids, phenolic acids, lignans, polysaccharides, essential oils, vitamins, and minerals.

According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, basil contains powerful anti-inflammatory properties which may help relieve symptoms associated with arthritis, asthma, allergies, bronchitis, cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, digestive disorders, depression, eczema, insomnia, infections, migraines, osteoporosis, psoriasis, respiratory problems, stress, and ulcers.

Basil is also a culinary spice and is often added to tomato sauces, soups, salads, pasta dishes, rice dishes, dips, casseroles, pizza toppings, pesto, chicken wings, and popcorn.

However, like all herbs, basil should be consumed in moderation. Too much of anything is not good for you. For example, eating large amounts of basil could lead to stomach upset. And if you have sensitive tummies, avoid consuming basil during pregnancy.

If you are pregnant or nursing, consult your doctor before taking herbal supplements.

You should only take one type of supplement at a time. If you take other medications, make sure they do not interact with each other.

You should never use herbs while on medication unless directed by your doctor.

Some people experience allergic reactions when using herbs, especially those allergic to ragweed. Symptoms include hives, swelling around the mouth or eyes, shortness of breath, chest tightness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headaches, dizziness, fainting, heart palpitations, blurred vision, loss of consciousness, seizures, or even death.

Some people who take certain medications may develop an allergy to basil. These drugs include:

  • Antacids (like Alka Seltzer)
  • Anti-anxiety medicines (Valium, Xanax, Ativan, etc.)
  • Beta-blockers (like Propranolol)
  • Blood thinners (like Coumadin)
  • Calcium channel blockers (like Amlodipine)
  • Cholesterol-lowering drugs (like Lipitor, Zocor, Mevacor, and Pravachol)
  • Diabetes medicine (like Glucophage)
  • Diuretics (like Lasix)
  • Heartburn medicines (like Prilosec OTC)
  • Hormone therapy (like Premarin, Tamoxifen, Femara)
  • Insulin (like Humalog, Lantus, Novolin R)
  • NSAIDs (like Aleve, Motrin, Advil, Excedrin, Tylenol, Ibuprofen)
  • Oral contraceptives (like Ortho Evra, Yasmin, Loestrin, Ovrette, Yaz, and Seasonale)
  • Pain relievers (like Aspirin, Celebrex, Vicodin, Percodan, Darvocet, Dilaudid, Fiorinal, Tylenol 3s, Naproxen, Motrin, Tramadol, Ultram, Voltaren

What herbs should you take daily?

Depending on your health and wellness needs, many herbs can be taken daily to help improve your overall health.

Popular herbs for daily consumption include ashwagandha, turmeric, ginger, holy basil, chamomile, lavender, peppermint, and cayenne pepper. Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb that can help the body resist stress and anxiety. Turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, while ginger has been shown to aid digestion and boost immunity. Holy basil may help with managing blood sugar levels, as well as providing a calming effect. Chamomile can promote relaxation, while lavender is used in aromatherapy for its calming properties. Peppermint can help aid digestion and reduce nausea, while cayenne pepper has antibacterial properties that may boost your immunity.

As always, you must consult your doctor before taking herbs daily to ensure they are safe for you and do not interact with any other medications or herbs you may be taking.

There is no shortage of information on what foods we should eat and how much exercise we should do. But when it comes to what supplements we should take, there is a dearth of knowledge.

This is because most of us aren’t sure which ones work or which are junk. So we go online and look up whatever we can find.

But often, these articles are written by companies trying to promote their products. Which means they're usually biased toward their product.

So instead of finding unbiased advice, we end up reading marketing hype.

This makes sense since marketers make more money selling stuff than doctors.

The medical industry isn’t even allowed to advertise directly to consumers anymore. The best way to learn about natural remedies is to read independent reviews.

This is where you'll find real users sharing their experiences with each supplement. These sites give you an honest opinion of whether or not a particular herb helps.

Users will often share their experience with a supplement after taking it. This gives you a good idea of its effectiveness and any side effects.

You can also check out forums dedicated to herbalism. Here you can ask questions and receive answers based on personal experience.

Of course, there are plenty of other ways to learn about herbs.

There are books, websites, blogs, videos, podcasts, and classes. All of them provide valuable information about natural remedies.

What are the disadvantages of using herbs?

Herbs are a great way to keep your body healthy because they contain vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, enzymes, amino acids, phytonutrients, polyphenols, flavonoids, terpenes, essential oils, carotenoids, sterols, and sterolins. Some even contain cannabinoids.

But there are also lots of side effects associated with herbal remedies. For example, taking too much herb could cause liver damage or even death. Herbal supplements may interact with prescription drugs, which means that they might affect how well the drug works.

Some herbs can interfere with blood clotting, while others may increase bleeding when taken with anticoagulants (blood thinners).

There are also safety concerns for pregnant women and children.

The bottom line is that herbs aren't safe for everyone. If you're considering trying them out, do your homework. Look up each product's side effects and warnings and read reviews online.

What spice is good for inflammation?

Turmeric is one spice that can be beneficial for reducing inflammation. It contains the active ingredient curcumin, which has been studied extensively and shown to have anti-inflammatory effects on the body. Other spices like ginger, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, garlic, and cardamom may also reduce inflammation in the body. Adding these spices to your diet can help reduce inflammation and promote overall health.

Another spice that can be used to reduce inflammation is black pepper. The active ingredient in black pepper, piperine, has been studied and found to have anti-inflammatory properties. It may also help reduce pain associated with inflammation. Additionally, the spice contains antioxidants which are beneficial for overall health.

Adding black pepper to your diet may help reduce inflammation and promote overall health. Be sure to talk with your doctor before adding any spice to your diet, as some spices may interact with your medications or supplements. Eating various healthy foods, including spices with anti-inflammatory benefits, can help keep your body balanced and reduce the risk of chronic inflammation-related illnesses.

In summary, adding spices to your diet can be beneficial for reducing inflammation and promoting overall health. Spices like turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, garlic, cardamom, and black pepper have all been studied for their potential anti-inflammatory effects.

Which plant can heal wounds?

Plants are amazing creatures. They grow, they live, and they die. They make food, clean our air and water, and help keep us healthy. But plants also do more than that...they heal wounds.

Plants release molecules called phytochemicals when they are injured. These chemicals act as antioxidants, which protect cell membranes from damage and promote healing.

Phytochemicals found in plants include flavones (found in citrus fruits), terpenoids (present in mint leaves), and polyphenols (common in berries).

In addition to these protective compounds, plants contain proteins, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fatty acids, and carbohydrates that support the body's natural processes of healing.

The best way to use plants to heal wounds is to consume them directly. However, there are ways to apply the power of plants to treat wounds without eating them.

First, soak a cotton ball in an extract from the St John's Wort herb. This product contains salicylic acid, which helps reduce inflammation.

Next, place the soaked cotton ball on the wound. Avoid applying the herb directly to open cuts, burns, or puncture wounds. If you feel any burning sensation, remove the herb immediately.

You may also find that placing a few drops of essential oil on the affected area promotes faster healing. Lavender essential oil reduces swelling and speed recovery; rosemary stimulates blood flow and increases circulation; peppermint relieves headaches and muscle aches.

If you want to try your hand at growing some of your medicinal herbs, here are some tips:

  • Start with small pots, so you don't end up with too much of one particular type of plant.
  • Grow several different types of herbs together. The same goes for flowers and vegetables. Mixing it up will ensure you get all the benefits of each plant.
  • Use organic fertilizer if you're growing your herbs indoors. Non-organic fertilizers may be harmful to your health.
  • Harvest regularly. You'll enjoy the freshness of homegrown herbs, but leave enough time between harvests to allow the soil to replenish itself.
  • Be careful not to overwater your plants. Overly wet soil encourages mold growth, which isn't suitable for your herbs.
  • Wash your hands after handling your herbs. You don't want to risk spreading bacteria onto your plants!

Is basil good for kidneys?

The answer is yes. Basil is an excellent food for kidney health. It contains potassium which helps reduce high blood pressure. It also contains vitamin K, which is essential for bone strength. As well as this, it is rich in antioxidants which help protect against heart disease.

Basil is great for digestion too. It contains digestive enzymes that break down protein and carbohydrates. This makes it easier to absorb nutrients from your meals.

Basil is a wonderful addition to any diet. Try sprinkling some over pasta dishes, salads, soups, and sandwiches. Or add little stir-fried vegetables, chicken, fish, meat, and tofu.

It's delicious in pesto sauce and fresh in salad dressings. You'll find many recipes online where you can learn how to cook with basil.

Try making basil oil by adding a few drops of pure olive oil to a jar filled with chopped basil leaves. Let it steep overnight, and then strain out the leaves. Use the oil as a massage oil or rub it onto your skin.

It will leave your skin soft and smooth.

How To

How to Use Herbs and Spices in Cooking?

Herbs and spices are a great way to add flavor without adding calories. If you've been cooking for years, you already know how easy it is to make even bland foods taste delicious. Try these tips to add more flair to your dishes.

Herbs and spices are essential ingredients in any kitchen. In addition to making food taste better, they also help keep food fresh longer. From enhancing the flavors of soups and sauces to infusing drinks with exotic tastes, herbs and spices go far beyond traditional cooking.

The most important thing to remember when using herbs and spices is to use them sparingly. Even though they may seem like powerful ingredients, they have a strong scent. So, sprinkle them on top instead of piling them onto a dish.

You'll find that the best herbs and spices come in small containers. This makes them easier to measure out, so there won't be any waste. Plus, you'll save money because you won't have to buy large amounts.

Another tip is to avoid placing herbs and spices directly on hot pans. Heat will quickly dry out the herbs and spices, leaving a bitter aftertaste. Instead, place them on paper towels to absorb excess moisture.

Use herbs and spices liberally in recipes where they naturally complement each other. For example, cinnamon pairs well with apples, while garlic complements tomatoes. Once you learn how to combine flavors, you'll be able to create your signature dishes.

Try experimenting with different herbs and spices to spice up meals. For instance, mix thyme, rosemary, oregano, and basil in a bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste. Then toss the mixture with pasta, chicken, or fish.

After the meal, store leftover herbs and spices in airtight jars. This will prevent them from drying out. Also, wrap unused herbs and spices tightly in plastic wrap. They should stay fresh for at least three months.

If you're looking for ways to improve your diet, consider trying new herbs and spices. You can experiment with different blends until you discover your favorite combination. The possibilities are endless!
